Broadcast drafts
When you mark a recipe as “email ready” in your library, dough automatically creates a broadcast draft in Kit with the recipe card pre-inserted. This saves you the repetitive work of opening Kit, creating a broadcast, and configuring the recipe card block each time.
How it works
- Open a recipe in your library and set its status to Active.
- Toggle Email ready to on.
- dough creates a Kit broadcast draft with:
- Subject line: “[Recipe Title] — a new recipe for you”
- Content: A Standard-mode recipe card block, plus a blank intro text placeholder for you to fill in.
- Internal description: “dough auto-draft — [Recipe Title]”
- You receive a notification in dough: “Your Kit draft is ready — [Recipe Title].”
- Open Kit, find the draft, write your intro text, and send or schedule as usual.
Customizing drafts
The auto-generated draft is a starting point. You can:
- Change the subject line.
- Write your intro story or note above the recipe card.
- Change the recipe card’s display mode (click the card block in Kit’s editor).
- Add other content blocks above or below the card.
- Target the broadcast to a specific segment using Kit’s subscriber filters.
